The Foundation Family Festival

To celebrate the School’s 100/500 anniversaries, the five School Parents’ Associations are hosting a Foundation Family Festival in the School grounds on Sunday 28th June, to which all current and past pupils, parents and friends of Bolton School are warmly invited. As the programme of events is finalised, more details will be added here, including a site plan and running order for the day.

Promotional opportunities, both in the event programme and in the advertising materials, will be available to local businesses.  To see our sponsors, please scroll down to the bottom of the page; to place an advert, please contact Jackie Turnbull at Jackie@turnbull-design.com.

The fun will start at midday, and will include numerous attractions:

Abseiling down the Clock Tower – a limited number of places will be available to both students (Year 5 upwards) and visitors wishing to participate in this spectacular event – more details together with an application form to apply for a place can be found by clicking here.

Can Sculpture – in the run up to the Festival we will be asking for donations of tin cans, (filled), to create a 100/500 themed sculpture in the Riley Quad. We will be collecting tin cans in the week leading up to the Festival, and will begin assembly of the structure on the Saturday, and complete it during the Festival, with all those bringing cans on the day helping to complete the sculpture with the placing of their cans. At the end of the day the sculpture will be dismantled and all of the cans will be donated to Urban Outreach. This should be a spectacular sight, and more details will be provided in the weekly eNewsletters.
